Fred,
Just checking if the guestbook is working.
The Prometheus website is getting better all
the time.
Please thank your son for his efforts on our behalf.
I think he deserves honorable mention in GOF.

Congratulations on your Web site. The layout is attractive
and gives, I think, a beautiful advertisement for the
Prometheus Society. I especially enjoyed reading the
article "The Outsiders", finding some identification
with
the views expressed therein.

Your web site is simply uotstanding! It paramounts the plethora
of triple-nine societies I've visited. It is east to navigate
and concise in its presentation. Thankyou for this opportunity

Hello Fred, Fred, Robert, et al...
I'll be "reactivating" myself soon. Very nice site.
I'll also be updating the links from mine, which are now outdated.
Tempus, as you know, fugat, and I get tired of chasing it sometimes.

Quick query- how many of the "genuises" in your
little
enclave possess a high school diploma?
I would suggest, in the future, that you allow one of these
gifted academics to spell "gila" for you next time so
as to
insure that those tricky four letter words don't trip your
crack team up again. just a thought.

Please send me a copy (more than one is of course always better)
of your journal so that I can get an idea of the level of thinking
associated with the Prometheus Society. Original(s) would be preferred.
My address is: No 8 St Mungo, 40 Victoria Rd, Clifton, South Africa,
8001 On an IQ test with a ceiling of 160, I scored 156; whatever
that means.
Some form of response would be appreciated.
Thank you
Richard

for all those people who think they have their place in a
society like this one, here is a simple wat of determining
if it really is so. the correct answer to the follwing question
should place a person to a group of above 180 IQ.
this is the real test of ones mental abilities.the question:
"WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CHICKEN?"
i would really like to know if there is anyone here who dares
to try answering this!!! u can send your answers to my e-mail
address and i will send you the result if you leave your e-mail
address.GOOD LUCK!!!

after the "chicken" riddle here is one not so hard:
"WHY IS JOHN DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD?"
not so hard but hard enough.try it.

I was doing some research on individuals of high IQ societies
when I came across your website. Well wait a minute, I was doing
some research on high IQ societies, and I became interested in
the actual members. This particular "elite" society
caught my eye! Your website was not intimidating, in fact, I found
it to be rather welcoming...you did brag a bit, but hey, if I
was a member of the intelligencia I would have no qualms about
pride! Anyway, I am only a first-year in college, but I would
really appreciate it if I could get a response from a member of
Prometheus. Tell me how you feel about the society, how you came
to know about the society, what you get from being in the society,
and whether or not you ever regreted being in the society. Feel
free to ignore me as you are in no way obliged. But you people
facinate me, and would like to know more about you! Thanks for
your attention.

Well, I must admit that I'm a lowly 98.7 person, however,
I do have an avid interest in societies such as yours.
As a teacher of English at a Los Angeles private high school,
I have great concern for those students who might
benefit from membership to an organization such as yours. Societies
such as these are very important for so many
who might otherwise be left out of many social and educational
circles. I would be very interested in any materials
you could provide that I could pass on to one or two of my brighter
students. I don't know if they would qualify
but it doesn't hurt to find out.

This non-member is surprised to see such banality from such
an apparantly intelligent person. Robert Dick's article on God
and free will in your April 1997 magazine was short-sighted and
spiritually dead. He seems to believe that if God knows the future,
we have no free will, but since we have free will, God doesn't
know the future. It's an easy syllogism to prove, yet the premise
is faulty. God is omniscient, to be sure, but that doesn't take
away from our free will. God lets us do what we want to do, yet
at the same time, he knows how it will turn out. God doesn't view
the world as one who passively watches a mystery movie, waiting
for the outcome. He knows the end, yet respects us enough to let
us make our own choices. God wants our loyalty, but that loyalty
must be freely chosen. If he took away our free will, he would
be defyfing his own will, which he would not do. Richard Dick
may be TOPS in the mental department, but in the spiritual department,
he might as will join DENSA.

Dear Andrea Burman,
You are correct; foreknowledge does not necessitate predestination.
You have a keen mind--but you missed the point. What distinguishes
development in the spiritual realm is not the capacity to grasp
abstruse conceptual dimidiations, but to show forth tolerance
and understanding toward one's fellow creatures.
Robert has not, as far as I am aware, in 20 years of active contributions
to our publications, engaged in malicious personal attacks or
denigrated another. You have no concept of this man--his love
for his family, his devotion to his work and his country. If you
had even the slightest inkling of the physical and spiritual tests
he has undergone, your heart would surely melt.
Regards to you and your students,
Steve Schuessler

I would really love to know the IQs of the following people.
Since I can never test them, perhaps getting the opinion of a
high IQ society would be the next best thing. If you are a member,
please give me yor best guess for the IQs of the following people:
Bobby Fisher, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Hawkings, Hillary
Clinton, Maddona, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson.

Hello. I must admit that it is utterly wonderful to find sites
such as these where one can interject his or her thoughts and
opinions in an intelligent atmosphere.
I may not be of the same mental caliber as the members of Prometheus,
but must admit delight to recently qualifying for Collegium!
Much luck to you and your website. May all such places of intellectual
stimulization never be removed from the web, or from mankind.

Hello out there:
When I grew up (in Germany) they did IQ tests with me, they were
amazed and then they let me "fall back" into everyday
school-life with all it's terror.
Now, having twins (of 3 1/2) who seem to be intelligent and curious,
I have once again to find out that there is not much help. Now,
it's them having the terror starting (in kindergarden). ("Don't
let them read or write because they're anyway always ahead. They
are bored and problematic" [So what ? Should I punish/suppress
their curiosity ?])
Looking for schools who *want* and *support* gifted kids, I somehow
came to your site. Wow ! With all respect, what's the use of all
those 'Super-Intelligent' clubs ? Is it to make you feel well
(and superior) ? Is it something like teens admiring each others
'fat' motorcycle ("Mine has 12 PS more than yours")
?
Meanwhile, there are thousands of gifted kids out there who 'starve'
from frustration, beeing bored or being isolated.
What's the difference between having 10 and having 12 billion
US$ ?
What's the difference between having an IQ of 172 or 182 ?
Sure, there is a difference, but is it an important factor ?
So, PLEASE, start to put your IQ-186-brains at work in helping
other intelligent people. I mean, the telephone was not invented
by a democratic comittee but by a single intelligent person. If
everyone of us tries his best to make it easier for other intelligent
people *everybody* will gain.
Why the hell are there so many high-IQ clubs and so few schools
for gifted kids ? There are whole countries without such schools
!!!
Thanks for listening and even more thanks for possibly thinking
about it.
Ramon

BTW: Is it a major activity of your group to read and post those
meaningless "Your web-site is great" comments ?
